I placed an order for a few things last Monday paid for Interlink Express 1-3 working days for delivery .

Got a reply that they received payment. Wednesday came and no notice of processing or dispatch, contacted them and they said they saw it Tuesday morning and it had been processed.

Nothing since then.

Now what I usually get from sellers is bombarded with e-mails and texts from the seller and courier.

Payment sent, e-mail from PayPal,

Payment received, e-mail from seller,

Processed, e-mail from seller,

Notice of pick-up order , e-mail from courier,

Dispatched, e-mail from seller,

P i ck-up, e-mail from courier,

Deliver slot notice, e- mail from courier,

Morning of delivery text and e-mail from courier,

Vehicle tracking, text and e-mail from courier,

One hour to delivery, text and e-mail from courier,

Parcel delivered, e-mail from courier,

Rate our service, e-mail from seller,

Rate our service, e-mail from courier.

I’m going to have to chase them up again today to find where this parcel is, indeed if it’s even been sent yet. Grrr.

It’s not a big order by any means. I don’t mind if it’s delayed but let the customer know for goodness sakes.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve sent them an e-mail to say if it hasn’t left the building yet, to cancel my order.

Add two digits to that, and that’s where I am with the quickjacks I ordered, it’s been over a week and they clearly have no interest in sending me them despite the payment clearing last Monday. If it doesn’t go out by the end of tomorrow I’m calling them and telling them to forget it, and will shop elsewhere.

I’ve had issues in the past with this seller, once selling an item they didn’t have in stock and the other time forgetting to send the parcel as they were busy and thought it had been sent already. But I’ve had several good orders, that strangely don’t show on the account, where everything has gone like clockwork.

I ordered through them again this time because they had the items from the different brands in stock but I think this’ll be my last order.

I honestly don’t mind if it’s late or whatever, but let the customer know.

I don’t understand vendors that don’t have the decenc y to give a proper answer as to an order’s status. I’m sure there are many inventory, production and shipping issues due to the pandemic. If these issues are affecting their ability to get the product to their customers, they should let the customer know. I would gladly accept an answer of that nature, rather than the run around or no answer at all.

If it’s not Amazon, I set my expectations for delivery speed and communication very low.

I ordered an exhaust for my Transit from AFE and four weeks (fabricating the exhaust sytem? Playing Fortnite?) passed with no word. Just as I was about to contact them to ask what’s up, they emailed to say it’ll ship.

Crystal glass over stoners? Now I’ve seen everything.

I’m not a fan of Stoners.

I love Gtechniq G6 but AutoFinesse Crystal Glass just has an edge on it.

I love stoners, the only thing that irritates me is you really have to spray the glass edge to edge because it really doesn’t work as well when it’s applied to a towel, which means I usually do it before putting protectant on anything, which is not the order I would prefer to detail a car. I might try something else once I finish these cans (or relegate them to household duty) - are these better if they’re applied to a towel?

I usually spray the windscreen three or four times doing half the glass at a time, but for side windows one spray on a 200gsm MF or suede cloth will do, and two sprays onto the same for half a rear window.

AF Crystal is a stronger product, will haze slightly initially but will evaporate leaving a smear free window.

If you can use it applied straight to the towel I’ll have to give it a shot. I use a 240GSM ultra low pile glass polishing cloth, and it’s like the best $6 I’ve ever spent in my life.

The only time I don’t apply it to the cloth is the windscreen, due to the size of the area and amount needed nearly saturates the cloth meaning too much product.

There’s two products I like from AF, the glass cleaner and ObliTARate (tar and glue remover), absolutely effortless tar removal.
